Data Release Policy

The Macrostomum lignano genome sequencing and annotation is a community-oriented project funded through internal resources of the consortium members. Although the consortium does not have an obligation to release the data before publication, we commit to openness and support the principles of sharing and using data from large-scale biological research projects as outlined in the Fort Lauderdale agreement.

The pre-publication data are released with the expectation that the users would adhere to the same principles. In essence, the data can be used freely in publications concerning single-gene type of analysis. In contrast, large-scale, genome-wide analysis should be either coordinated with the consortium or published after the initial publication describing the M. lignano genome. By accessing the data you agree to these restrictions.
