GENOTRACE uses raw sequencing data to generate local genomic assemblies for a region of interest. It is particulary usefull for extending boundaries of poorly assemblied genic regions using (partial) mRNA sequences. See Bionformatics 18:1396-1397 for details.
This server version of GENOTRACE (v.2.0) has been modified from the original and uses Burrows-Wheeler Aligner for read mapping and MIRA assembler for local genome assembly.
